From 18th till 23rd October 2009  II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Mikołaja hosted Comenius partner school delegations .
Polish hosts prepared a busy shedule allowing participants to perform tasks directly connected with the project.
Teachers got to know Polish education system, made the analysis of the qustionnaire carried out in partner schools, summed up the level of students’ knowledge about the 60s. They worked out a  schedule for the present school year and defined the tasks for realisation before another contact seminar in Bergerac in spring 2010. They tried to compare history coursebooks and programmes from the 60s.
Students worked together at the history workshop using previously prepared materials (photographs, books, clothes and other items from the 60s), as well as prepared posters ilustrating their knowledge and ideas about the mentioned period.
They were watching “Knife in the Water” a  film that gave them the possibility to learn about Polish cinema and certain aspects of everyday life in Poland in the 60s.
Students had a lotof fun while taking part in a fancy dress  party.
Guests had the possibility to participate in the lessons of their partner students.
Hosts also planned sightseeing of Koźle- the pld part of the town an excursion to Auschwitz and a short trip to Cracow.
A group of students workong together at a photo workshop prepared presentations fro the visit.
The atmosphere of the visit was friendly and creative, the young and the teachers had the opportunity to get to know one another, exchange their experiences and were highly motivated to work on further cooperation.
School authorities and teachers would like to thank all the participants of the contact seminar for their commitment to the project.
